Intended Audience: Schools Ops who need to switch their current Ponder Paper scanner from fob to fobless scanner authentication.

Part 2:
- How to print, fill out, and scan in test pages to ensure your fobless scanner is properly setup (time estimate: 20 minutes per scanner)
Before you begin:
Important Note:
If you have more than 1 scanner, please follow the entire instructions for one scanner at a time. Then, repeat these steps for each scanner.
Printing the test pages:
1. Go to this document and print out the 4 pages double sided and not stapled.
2. Ensure that page 4 is entirely blank.
Filling out the test pages:
1. Using a pencil (recommended) or pen, fill out the fields on all 3 pages
- Today’s Date:
- For example: 9/1/24
- School:
- For example: UCC
- Scanner Name:
- For example: 902-zebra
- Name of Staff Scanning in This Page:
- For example: Gaby Ochoa
Scanning in your test pages:
1. Once you filled out all 3 pages, you are ready to scan them in and verify them using the instructions below.
2. New update since August 2024:
Since your scanner is now approved for fobless scanning, you no longer need to use a Ponder Paper fob to scan!
3. Power on your scanner
4. On the home screen, click on the top right Exit icon
5. After the window loads, you should see this updated home screen.
If you do not see this screen:
Please unplug your scanner, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, then return to step 3 above.
6. On your scanner's home screen, under Select a job, click on the job listed (in light grey):
7. When you see this screen, place your filled out test pages into the scanner feeder (extend the wings of the top Chuter Unit as needed):
8. Click the blue "Scan" button:
9. Your pages will be scanned and loaded in:
10. You should automatically return to the home screen. If not, click on the exit icon to return to the home screen.

Confirming your test pages:
1. Next, go to the Uncommon Ponder Paper website: https://uncommon.ponderpaper.co
2. Sign in with your Google Account
3. Once logged in, on the main menu click on "Scan log"
4. Use "Scan device" to search for and select your new scanner name:
5. You will see a log of what was scanned in from that selected scanner.
Locate the timestamp of your test scans:
6. Click on your scanned batch, this will expand it's log:
7. Click on the number 1 next to Sheets, this will open the first scanned page:
8. On the right pane, click on the center Zoom button to view the entire first page:
9. Scroll down to view each page and confirm it matches the test pages you scanned in. Double check that your test pages appear clearly and without any marks or streaks.
10. If all your scanned test pages appear clearly, you're all done!
